History

VDG International originates from the Bakkenist Group, one of the largest consulting companies in the Netherlands.

During the 1980s, the Bakkenist Interim Management was a leading company at the market of new solutions for interim management. Branches in France and Germany were opened in 1990s.

In 1999, the Bakkenist Group was overtaken by the Deloitte & Touche. As a result, partners responsible for the sector of Interim Management decided for a management buy‐out of this company part and launching the activity as the VDG International.

In order to complement interim management services of the company, the offer included services of searching Candidates for executive posts, which were initially available in Germany and Eastern‐Central European countries.

In 2003, the German part of the VDG International GmbH was overtaken by local partners: Paul Röttger and Martin Lauga.

Year 2004 was the time of establishing the VDG International Poland, seated in Warsaw and managed by Justyna Adamczyk.

In 2008, the Ukrainian branch VDG International was opened in Kiev, from where Ukrainian, Russian and Baltic States projects are run.

The nature of explorers and the wide network of contacts and companies, which we cooperate with, make us think of a further expansion into new European markets. In next few years, we plan to open several new offices.
